Gerard Straub has taken hundreds of churches and schools on an unforgettable cinematic journey to the heart of God through encountering the poor. From filming those experiencing poverty to living with them, Gerard discovered a wisdom that can only be learned by living the Gospel in a radical way. He shares his story of conversion by weaving together film with reflections on pilgrimage, poverty, and prayer, inspiring participants to contemplate their own call to respond to God. All are welcome!
Gerard Thomas Straub is an award-winning author and filmmaker. His books, The Sun & Moon Over Assisi, was named the Best Spirituality Hardcover Book of the Year by the Catholic Press Association in 2001 and has written 10 books that focus on the intersection of poverty, global need, and theology.
Cost: Free (A freewill donation will be offered to support Gerard’s work at Santa Chiara Children’s Center and Academy)
